How many first aid kits to I need?

How many first aid kits you need will depend on your own unique circumstance, and if you're requiring first aid kits for your home or your workplace.

The WorkSafe Victoria First Aid Compliance Code, requires employers to provide a safe working environment and adequate facilities, every workplace must have an appropriate First Aid Kit. This even applies to small workplaces under 10 staff and even ‘micro-businesses’ if they considered high risk workplaces.

Check the contents of your kit regularly, and ensure that:

Items have been cleaned

Packets are properly sealed

Items have not exceeded expiry dates

Previously used items have been replaced

Everybody knows where the first aid kit is kept

    Dries out

  • Saline

    Can become unsterile
